DUTIES:

May provide food preparation assistance by washing, peeling, cutting and seeding vegetables
and fruits as well as cleaning, cutting and grinding meats, poultry, and seafood.
Provides foodstuff and utensils for chef by carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and
from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators.
Maintains food quality by storing foods in designated areas, minimizing spoilage.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by cleaning work areas, equipment.
and utensils as well as segregating and removing garbage containers. Follows sanitation
standards and procedures complying with legal regulations.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions. Troubleshoots
breakdowns, maintains supplies, and performs preventative maintenance.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional
publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Maintains stock by assisting the chefs in keeping the kitchens in full working order;
retrieving stock, and keeping all cooking and serving utensils and plates clean & sanitary at
all times.

The Homestead located in Glen Arbor, MI has openings for 35 temporary housekeepers, $8.35/hr ($12.53/hr OT) from 4/1/2012 to 11/30/2012. Clean condominium and hotel rental units during guest or owner stays and cleans and prepares both types of units for new arrivals. No exp. req. edutainment programs, crafts and activities at the Lodge.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must work weekends, evenings and holidays.
