Job Type: This is a Full Time, Regular Employee position located in Traverse City.

Job Requirements: This job requires a high school diploma and 3 years of experience.
Other Requirements: This job has some special requirements. Specific requirements: You must possess a private drivers license, undergo drug screening and undergo a reference or security check. You must have a commercial drivers license without air brake.
Additional Requirements:  A CDL Driver’s license is a plus
 Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
 Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
• Lifting 20 pound objects constantly; 50 pound objects frequently; and 100 pound objects occasionally is required

Essential Duties:
· Responsible for departmental production reporting, setting safety goals and efficiencies.
· Assists in managing, tracking and reporting work schedules.
· Be proficient in all skill areas used within the department in order to provide training to employees.
· Supervises department, insuring productivity, profitability quality and safety meet or exceed company requirements.
· While performing the duties of the job the employee is asked to stand, bend, walk, sit, use hands, use tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push pull or crawl.
· Communicates with superintendent regarding department activities and personnel needs.
· Complete job orders as required and track inventory
· Compile daily job sheets reporting all work performed in the department.
· Work closely with Superintendent and Management to ensure that all work location needs are being met.
· Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management preferred.
· 1 year supervisory experience.
· 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or recycling environment.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills and desire to work with all levels of management and employees within the company.
· Safety and quality awareness.
· Knowledge of machine operation
· Knowledge in metallurology.
· Assertive/Professional attitude
· Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment
