JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for set-up and operation of the CNC Vertical Machine Center, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill/Turn. Will also run manual machines and Wire EDM as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Sets up and operates CNC Vertical Machine Center. Haas/Mazak/Fanuc based controls.
2. Must have proven skill set to set up and operate Vertical 3 axis machine centers.
3. Must have proven skill set to program with MasterCAM, or ability to learn CAD/CAM software
4. Must understand Rotary or Indexing capability as the application applies to the Vertical Machine Center and Mill/Turn Machines.
5. Understand G Code pertaining to the CNC Machining Centers.
6. Employee will need to understand the Vertical X,Y,Z axis centerline pick up with the Vertical Machine center.
7. Good understanding of Edge and Centerline pick up on the Vertical Machine Center.
8. Optimize process to achieve maximum efficiency.
9. Save updated programs.
10. Receive daily instructions from CNC Manager and plan day accordingly.
11. Use proper tooling for the operation.
12. Check parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications using proper gauges.
13. Perform daily maintenance check on machines and report concerns to CNC Manager.
14. Use proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency.
15. Deburr work in process.
16. Train new hires or apprentices.
17. Follows all safety policies and procedures.
18. Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
19. Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
20. Must have attention to detail to minimize mistakes.
PERIPHERAL DUTIES
1. Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
2. Assists in formulating departmental strategic plan.
3. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma or GED. Preferably a AAS or Journeymans Card.
2. Must own tools supply for daily tasks (i.e. micrometers, indicators, edge finders, etc.)
3. Two years' experience in a job shop environment is preferred but not required.
4. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work order instructions.
5. Must be able to understand three and four axis machining.
6. Must be able to understand the edge picking up of a part.
7. Must have a working knowledge of computers.
8. Must be able to take verbal and written instructions and work from handmade sketches.
9. Demonstrated knowledge of G-Code programming and machine practices.
10. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED
All machine shop equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting up to 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.
48 hours per week are mandatory. Additional hours available up to 70 hours per week. Pay is based on experience. We offer competitive wages, Insurance and 401k.
Salary:
From $ 16.00 To $ 22.00 per hour.

Job Requirements:
This job requires a high school diploma and 2 years of experience.
Other Requirements:
You must possess a private drivers license, undergo drug screening, pass an employment test, provide your own tools and undergo a reference or security check.
